Boreal Learning Network
Session One: May 2008
At the first session, representatives from First Nations and environmental groups came together with the desire to create more opportunities to protect the boreal forest.
A major emphasis was exploring strategies and models that could protect land and reflect the values and interests of the people living in the boreal.
The first session of the Boreal Learning Network took place on May 28 - Friday, May 30, 2008 at the Nakoda Lodge. Twenty-seven participants from Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba and Ontario attended.
