The Canadian boreal forest, one of the world's largest intact forests, is indispensable to keeping climate change within global targets. Storing twice as much carbon as the world's oil reserves, the Canadian boreal forest plays a critical role in the global carbon cycle. The Natural Resources Defense Council, Environmental Defence and Nature Canada have just published a report on the challenges industrial logging in the boreal forest poses for Canada‚'s climate change commitments. This webinar will provide an overview of the key findings of this report, explain proposed recommendations for better managing our boreal forests and give opportunity for the audience to ask questions of these experts.

The recording will be available until September 23, 2020.
