Paul co-founded the Sustainability Network and has led the organization since inception. He is also a founding Director of Green Economy Canada and sits on the Policy Committee for the Ontario Nonprofit Network and advisory committees at the University of Guelph, Toronto Metropolitan University and the Canadian Centre for Nonprofit Digital Resilience.
Paul is the recipient of a 2023 Clean50 Lifetime Achievement award.
Prior to his work at Sustainability Network, he led the Ontario Environment Network and spent 5 years at Environment Canada. Paul holds a biology degree from the University of Guelph and a MSc from the University of Toronto.
James chan
Bookkeeper
James Chan is the Lead Bookkeeper at Beach Hill Bookkeeping which utilizes cloud based software to provide quality financial reporting for small startups. With over fifteen years of bookkeeping experience, Beach Hill Bookkeeping specializes in quality bookkeeping for small businesses and self-employed professionals.
He has been an accounting volunteer with Habitat for Humanity GTA, WoodGreen Community Services and JusticeNet and holds a Bachelor of Arts Honours – Management from the University of Toronto.
Anna-Liza Badaloo is a non-profit consultant, facilitator, and writer, working at the intersection of health, environment, and social justice. With 15 years of experience in non-profit strategy, programs, communications, professional development, and stakeholder engagement, she helps organizations address root causes to maximize impact.
Viewing JEDI (Justice, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion) through the lens of empathy, her decolonized, intersectional approach has helped organizations build capacity by implementing JEDI-focused training, events, communities of practice, peer networks, and advocacy campaigns. By centering underserved communities including BIPOC, youth, and 2SLGBTQIA+, she helps organizations understand how colonial structures impact organizational health.
As the Communications Lead, Laura comes to Sustainability Network with over 10 years of communications experience in a variety of industries including the arts, non-profits, healthcare and real estate.
Laura holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Marketing and a Diploma in Graphic and Web Design. Her passions range from art to urban sustainability, reading, writing and community building.
Victor previously worked with Sustainability Network from 2009-2019. He managed both the Boreal Learning Network and Environment and Diversity Project.
Victor has been involved in environmental conservation for over two decades. He worked with WWF in the Philippines alongside fishing communities to establish marine protected areas and to promote sustainable livelihood. Most recently, he was Operations Manager of Canadian Jesuits International, supporting international solidarity and social and ecological justice work in the Global South.
Victor holds a Master of Engineering Science degree in Environmental Engineering from the University of Melbourne.
